What is the #1 piece of advice you would give e-Sellers to help get their stores ready and maximize their sales this year?
It’s essential for the sellers to know the market, such as what kind of categories are the top cat for final year sell. We highly advise sellers to talk with their marketplace account managers to get more information. After knowing the market trends, it’s key to get stock prepared in the EU prior to the run up to the holiday season. French customers have high expectations regarding delivery times, especially at this time of the year so their tolerance towards delayed deliveries is extremely low. Sending packages from EU can significantly reduce delivery times to meet the market’s needs.
What trends are you currently seeing among eSellers on Fnac/Darty?
More and more sellers are adjusting their product selection strategy, from selling all to high standard selection of more qualified brands. And we have more and more onboarding requests from sellers who have lots of experience on Amazon or other marketplaces. Though several sellers are very careful in sourcing due to VAT impact, they are still here and willing to come back once they are ready once again.
Are there any special features you’d like our e-Sellers to know about that would improve their success this holiday season?
I would like to share to our sellers, please make sure that their product pages are clean and perfectly enriched with all the attributes and HTML format image + video in the description part in order to improve the click rate and conversion rate.
