What differentiates Tophatter from other marketplaces?

Tophatter connects buyers and sellers around the world in real-time auctions that are both fast and effective. We leverage our ever-expanding data for merchandising and personalization to a point where nearly every item sells, and sells within an average of 90 seconds.

What kind of merchandise is the most popular right now?

Fashion jewelry and fine jewelry are very popular right now, but apparel, consumer electronics, designer handbags, beauty products, and home furnishings are also selling very well.

Once a seller places products on Tophatter, how can they best promote them? What does an ideal auction look like?

There is actually no external promotion necessary. All Tophatter buyers will see all the auctions available. Our marketplace caters to sellers with the ability to source and sell great inventory. Our job is to attract multiple buyers to the auctions.

What is your strongest base of buyers (demographically and geographically)? How can a seller best target them?

Most of our buyers are female and located in the United States. Sellers don’t need to worry about targeting buyers- our platform does that automatically.

If a seller wants to get started with Tophatter today, where should they start?

They can start selling today by going to our website or they can reach out to me for partnership opportunities.

How can sellers receive payments from Tophatter?

We pay our sellers in the US via ACH.  For international sellers, we use Payoneer.

How do you see the future of this industry? Where is the biggest opportunity?

A big opportunity that we see in eCommerce, and that is going to last for a while, comes from the trend towards connecting manufacturers directly with demand in real time. This eventually will allow them to focus on making the best products, and not on building warehouses and marketing channels. At Tophatter we’ve built a platform where manufacturers can sell to consumers directly, instantly, anywhere in the world.
