Meet our Payoneer Brand Ambassador for Sri Lanka!

Sri Lanka is an island country that is situated in the Southern part of Asia, below India. Online work is gradually becoming popular in Sri Lanka with an estimate of 17,000-22,000 freelancers according to LIRNE asia. In Payoneer, we’re all about empowering locals to go global so with the online career potentially growing in Sri Lanka, we want to support them with a local approach. Since 2014, we’ve had several Payoneer Brand Ambassadors all over the world – Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Ukraine, Spain, etc. and now in Sri Lanka!

We are proud to announce that we have chosen Lasantha Wickaramasinghe as our Payoneer Brand Ambassador for Sri Lanka.

Lasantha is the founder of the largest freelancing and entrepreneurship community in Sri Lanka with more than 35,000 members, the Online Entrepreneurs Club. Twelve years ago, he started as an individual freelancer on Fiverr and now he owns several companies – a software and mobile app development company; digital marketing company; graphic and creative designs company. We are happy to have him onboard!

 

Last August 10, 2018, we hosted the first VIP Networking Dinner in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Entrepreneurs and online professionals gathered here to share their business journeys and successes over a delightful dinner. A big thanks to everyone who attended and stay tuned for upcoming events in Sri Lanka!
