The Payoneer Forum comes to India

As the Payoneer Brand Ambassadors in India, we had the pleasure of organizing the 1st Payoneer Forum in Mumbai- a vivacious city filled with  fun-loving people looking to grow their global business.  The event took place in Navi Mumbai and drew in fellow affiliate marketers, bloggers, freelancers, internet marketers and SME’s.  If you weren’t able to attend the event, check out the recap below

Registration

Registration began at 5.30 PM but excited attendees started piling in as early as 4:30. Every attendee was given a kit with notepads, pens, event agenda and flyers. Around 6 PM, we were on the dais with our opening remarks and welcomed the first speaker of the evening.

Session 1: Gaurav Mishra

“Entrepreneurship Mindset in Freelancing Business”

Gaurav Mishra is the Managing Director of Navayuvak Entrepreneurs and the CEO of FerraMedia India Services. He spoke about his entrepreneurship journey and the need for freelancers to have the mindset of an entrepreneur in order to become successful. According to Guarav, freelancing is not something to be pursued part-time if you wish to become a true professional.

Session 2: Jitendra Vaswani

“How to Start Your Freelancing Business”?

Jitendra Vaswani is the  founder of Digiexe, which provides a complete suite of digital marketing services to clients around the world.  He and also runs prominent internet marketing blog Bloggersideas & also recently foundee tech blog TechNoven. He is a digital marketing and SEO consultant and aims to educate the young generation about blogging and becoming an independent professional. He spoke extensively about how to begin a freelancing career and how to survive some common challenges freelancers face. He discussed the current status of the freelancing industry in India, addressed why the majority of freelancers fall short and how freelancers can avoid returning the the world of 9-5 jobs.

Session 3: Manish Chhajed

“Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur”

Manish Chhajed – a scientist turned venture capitalist and the founder of Sweat Equities- has spent the majority of his career solving the woes of entrepreneurs’. He has worked with businesses of different sizes in India, China, Singapore and Israel. He has deployed and managed close to $650 million worth of investments across 40 companies in his career so far and has served on the boards of 16 companies across sectors including  education, textiles, consumer and retail, energy and power, technology, industrials and manufacturing.

Manish spoke about what it takes to become an entrepreneur- jumping hurdles, making sacrifices and never giving up the desire to become an entrepreneur.

Session 4: Chirag Dodiya

“Social Media and Global Business Growth”

Chirag Dodiya is a 20-year old entrepreneur and the founder of Plorez – a platform for young entrepreneurs and startups to promote entrepreneurship among the youth.  He spoke about the role of social media in building a profitable business and shared his own experiences on how social media helped to build a successful business platform. He shared many tips and tricks to become a social media pro!

Session 5: Keren Levy & Patrick De Courcy

Keren and Patrick discussed Payoneer’s return to India and the exciting changes that were implemented to support Indian freelancers.

Networking & Dinner

After the speaking sessions, the attendees were treated to dinner and had a chance to network with other industry professionals
