A Look Back at Payoneer: 2014

It has been an exciting year for the Payoneer team. With huge advances in our platform and some exciting changes with our brand, 2014 was a great year. Before we start anew with lots more changes and improvements, let’s first take a look back at what we accomplished in 2014.

Company Updates

1.  Company Rebranding

At Payoneer, our goal is to empower global commerce by connecting businesses, professionals, countries and currencies. With our innovative cross-border payments solutions, the engineer in Bangladesh, translator in Australia, online seller in China and vacation host in Venezuela are now empowered to transact globally as easily as they do locally. Leading businesses from the US and Europe are now able to leverage the incredible talent found among professionals in Asia and Latin America. The images you now see represent the businesses, people, countries and currencies that Payoneer represent.  Look out for some even BIGGER changes in 2015!Payoneer Rebranding

2. Refer a Friend Program

Simply put, the Refer a Friend Program is a great way for Payoneer users to earn extra cash by telling their  friends about Payoneer.  What’s unique about the program is that we reward both the referral and the affiliate. 3. Payoneer Brand Ambassador Program

True to our brand message of connecting businesses, professionals, countries and currencies, the goal of Payoneer Brand Ambassadors and the Payoneer Forum is for us to connect more closely with our customers worldwide.  We are organizing a series of events, run locally by our Payoneer Brand Ambassadors, and packed with informative presentations from respected professionals, partners and customers.  We recently hosted events in IslamabadBangladesh, Argentina and Tokyo and 2015 will bring a slew of new location as well as smaller meetups, VIP events and various opportunities to help YOU grow your business.

Platform Updates

1.  Redesigned Mobile application (Download HERE)
The Payoneer Mobile App was redesigned from the ground up to include compatibility with SIM-free devices, card charge alert notifications, mobile payments, and support for multiple languages.  In addition, users can not submit customer support inquiries directly from the mobile app AND, users can access their Refer a Friend program information to share the Payoneer love with their friends.

2.  US/EU Payment Service
Many of our customers had trouble creating work relationships with US/ EU companies because they did not have a US/ EU bank account in which to receive payments. Now Payoneer users can receive ACH transfers from US companies and SEPA transfers from EU companies, directly to their Payoneer Account.

3.  Withdrawal to local bank account

In today’s fast-paced business world, flexibility is key. With Payoneer’s Withdraw to Bank Account Service, you can both transfer funds from your Payoneer Account to your local bank account, and also withdraw funds in up to 90 currencies. This service is currently available in 80 countries.

4.  Send a US Payment Request
Easily send a request for payment to a US company, providing them with your US Payment Service details and instructions on how to send you funds via US Direct Deposit. Additional information is available by logging in to your Payoneer Account and going to the “Receive Money” menu.

5.  New and Improved Multilingual Support Center
Our Support Center will easily assist you in finding relevant information on the most commonly asked questions and difficulties experienced with our products and services. Additionally, our support is now multilingual and features improved search capabilities. We are actively adding new content daily. On the Horizon

2015 is going to be a big year for Payoneer’s platform design.  We’re taking a fresh perspective on both the desktop and mobile platform to provide our clients with a more user-friendly and intuitive experience.  The entire platform with be redesigned from the core, to offer Payoneer clients the easiest way to accept, transfer and utilize your global payments.  We’ll tell you more about the release as the date gets nearer.  Until then,  let us know your thoughts and experiences so we can be sure to offer you the best of what Payoneer can offer!

Submit your Payment Request for a chance to win $100!

A few months ago we introduced a new service – the Payment Request, which allows you to easily send payment requests to US companies, to get paid via Payoneer’s Payment Service.

We are now happy to announce a special raffle for account holders using the Payment Request Service – send a $100 payment request by July 31, 2014, and you could be one of ten lucky winners to receive $100, courtesy of Payoneer!

 

To find the service, simply sign in to your Payoneer account and go to your Payment Service profile page. Once on that page, click on Send a Payment Request or click on “Payment Request” from the “Withdraw” menu. Professional Linguist requests payment from US companies via Payoneer

As a professional freelancer, you may be working with many different clients around the world. In addition to providing high quality and professional services, you will also need an efficient and low cost way to receive and withdraw your earnings.

One such freelancer is Alejandro, a professional linguist who uses Payoneer to receive his earnings to Argentina. Using Payoneer’s US Payment Request service, Alejandro is able to easily send a request for payment to US companies and receive US bank transfers directly to his Payoneer account. I started using Payoneer because it seemed like a serious service since it’s partnered with Mastercard.
Unlike other electronic transfer services, the prepaid card is very versatile- I can use it anywhere in the world! Especially because of my job as a linguist who delivers conferences all around Latin America,  I find using the card at airports and hotels extremely practical. 

 

What are the benefits of using the US Payment Request service?

The US Payment Service is very convenient for the company I work for as a freelancer, since they can send my earnings to me through ACH transfers online in a matter of seconds.

“Payment Requests Have Instantly Increased My Earnings By 9%”

I recently posted about an update to the Request A Payment service, which allows professionals and small businesses around the world to receive bank transfers from international companies. You can easily request a payment to any company you are working with and the payer can easily send a payment via credit card or their local bank. These recent updates have greatly improved global commerce by eliminating the obstacles of doing business internationally.


One of the first Payoneer account holders to take advantage of the new  Payment Request service is Rifat, an affiliate marketer and consultant from Bangladesh. Beginning his career as an affiliate marketer, Rifat now spends the majority of his time helping other affiliate marketers set up their own campaigns and earn lifetime commissions on their sales. Rifat runs a successful Facebook group with over 40,000 members where he posts free training videos and tips on how to succeed in affiliate marketing.  You can also check out his personal blog for more tips and tricks.

As an active Payoneer account holder himself, Rifat had some great tips on how to leverage Payoneer’s global payment solutions to work online, get paid, and increase profits.

How did you hear about Payoneer?

I signed up with Payoneer back in 2009 to withdraw funds from oDesk.  Now I’m using the US payment service to run my business and to manage clients in a more prestigious way. I decided on Payoneer as it was the fastest and simplest way to get paid. It allows me to get paid at the lowest rate out there (only 1%) and it is FREE for clients to pay me. Also it allows me to purchase things online using the Payoneer card.

What benefits has the US Payment Request service provided you?

My business image has truly improved.  I can now offer them my US bank details, which is far better and comfortable to my buyers, and for me it’s only 1% fee with no limits.  It’s just the BEST & Cheapest way to get paid from companies and a very enjoyable process for me.

Has it changed or improved your ability to work online?

Yes, it increased my earnings by 9% without doing anything.  The US bank transfer is free for my clients and some clients started paying me the extra 10% which they were been charged to pay me at freelance marketplaces.  Now I am working in a corporate manner, with large companies and they are paying me to my bank account weekly, just as they would with local workers. It brought a lot ease on the business and a complete professionalism. 

What tips can you provide to others looking to work and get paid online?

I’d suggest working with US clients and start taking the “long term business concept” seriously. I see tons of guys continuously searching for new jobs everyday on several online marketplaces, where they already have a job running! To them – Stop looking for new clients and start caring for your current clients to build a long term business relationship. If you start doing this today – you won’t have to search for new jobs everyday as you’ll be able to grow a strong client base who will keep you overloaded with work 24×7.

And about get paid online – I’d honestly suggest using Payoneer’s new “US Payment Request” service. I’ve been using this for a while now, and it is completely amazing! Clients get a strong impression about me when I give them my “Bank of America” bank details (which is actually the Payoneer US Payment Service) and clients can transfer funds for completely free. I have to pay only 1% to receive funds from them. The absolute best part – NO LIMIT on loading! I’m just loving it, and I’d suggest everyone to start using Payoneer USPS – the best way to get paid.
