Freelancing with global companies from Latin America
At the Payoneer Forum Buenos Aires, we had the pleasure of meeting hundreds of professional freelancers that are currently working from Argentina with global companies.
We had a chance to sit down with Rob Martinez, Director of Ridyn.com and Marketing & Social Media pro, and his team. See what Rob has to say about freelancing in Latin America and working with Payoneer.
What is your educational background/career?
I have a BA in Communications and I am currently working on my MBA in Marketing and Business. I studied creative writing, social media, and pre/ post audiovisual production and I’ve worked in general production departments, audiovisual development, management of creative talent, concepts and creative writing.
My professional career has been full of enriching experiences and I have utilized that experience to launch my own agency, Ridyn and Ridyn Comunicación Integral. We are a digital marketing agency offering a range of services aimed at improving communication companies in Argentina, Peru and Uruguay and we have recently expanded into the United States and Europe within the last year.
Ridyn.com is a multi-media platform where contributors from various Spanish-speaking countries can publish their original content in the form of notes, reports, specialized columns, journalistic stories, or creative research. I manage the editorial department, art direction, and I create all original online audio and videos.
What problems did you encounter that prompted you to work with Payoneer?
Today’s professional wants to be a global provider, not just for the monetary reward but also because of the experience and support you gain from the ability to work for different geographies. Argentina and Venezuela, countries to which I belong, have well marked problems in economic import and export. Payoneer allowed me to connect with current and potential customers to facilitate the process of paying for freelance services. Payoneer also offered a solution to freely access my funds from any place around the world.
How do you feel about the Payoneer service?
I would say that seeing how well Payoneer’s services worked gave me confidence to expand my business. I finally had a reliable means to receive payments and could connect with any company around the world to offer services. From that moment, I understood that solving my payment issues opened up a world of potential clients, and I had to make the most out of it.
Would you recommend our services? If so, why and to whom?
Absolutely! In fact I already do, and for one reason: I know hundreds of talented professionals that, due to lack of tools like Payoneer, end up working in a single professional circle, in one country, with limited expansion and prosperity. Payoneer has helped them to connect and build relationships that provide great economic benefits.
