If you haven’t yet heard of Joom, then you’re missing out on a huge opportunity to reach millions of new customers all over the world. With over 28 million active customers, Joom is an incredible mobile marketplace with customers all across Asia and Europe buying goods at great prices and which can otherwise be hard to find. If you’re looking to expand where and who you sell to, that should be reason enough, but in case not, below are a few more reasons you’ll want to look into and join Joom right now.

1. Huge audience of potential customers and access to markets

Joom will get you access to millions of customers all over the world. As of mid 2022, Joom has more than 400 million app downloads all over the world and 28 million active monthly users. Whats more, this number continues to grow exponentially.

With Joom, you’ll have access to all markets with one interface. With just one store, you can sell anywhere. No more need to manage an endless set of workspaces. Just put a checkmark in front of the countries you want to sell to and that’s it. The more countries you activate, the more orders you’ll get.

2. Constant support and localization

Joom has a very reliable and attentive customer support team that takes care of all communication with consumers. Yes, that’s right, all communication with customers. This means merchants like you can remain focused on assortments, sales and all the other things required to run your business. In addition, the Korean and English-speaking merchant support team is always ready to help and advise on any issue.

Joom is also available in 26 languages and localizes all your content for free. This means that after the product is listed in English, the system will translate all product descriptions, names and attributes, and finally convert currencies according to the preferences of the users from any country where Joom is available.

3. Joom for Korean Merchants

Are you based in South Korea? If so, you’re in luck. In 2019, Joom started a merchant onboarding campaign in South Korea, and since then more than 200 brand owners and small and medium businesses are successfully selling their products on Joom. As a result, by the end of November 2022, Korean merchants increased sales up to 4 times during 11.11 and Black Friday Sales in comparison to the previous year.

4. Integrated logistics solution

Also for Korean merchants, Joom offers ‘Joom Logistics Services’ for free with main destinations in 22 European countries, including Israel, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Belarus, Russia, and Kazakhstan and is constantly developing new destinations for delivery options from Korea. Plus, all Joom Logistics shipments are protected by Non-Delivery Compensation, so there’s no need to worry about delivery – both you and the consumer will be compensated in case of any issues.

Of course, if you are looking to sell to other countries not covered by Joom Logistics yet, or you sell products exceeding Joom Logistics’ shipping limits (weight, size, dangerous kind or price), you are free to choose any shipping company as long as all shipments are registered under a tracking number.

5. Top-selling categories on Joom

The trend for all things Korean (e.g. K-Pop, movies, video games, etc) has dramatically increased the popularity of Korean culture globally, and Korean consumer goods have become an important part of trade as well. Korean products are often seen as a great example of a balance between high quality and a reasonable price, and consumers on Joom now enjoy them in every corner of the globe. Here are some of the best-performing categories of Korean products on Joom:

  • Electronics, including music albums
  • Health & Beauty
  • Fashion & Footwear
  • Home & Living
  • Hobby, Sports and Traveling
  • Coffee, Tea and Snacks

6. Lots of promotional activities

Joom is constantly creating new attractive promotional activities for merchants. You can also participate in Joom promotions and set your own discounts and personalized offers as the platform will always keep you informed about special features and novelties as they become available.

Starting from 2021, Joom introduced a new format of promotional activities — sales dedicated to special merchant origins. Each year, Joom invites all Korean merchants to participate in a special ‘Korean Week Sale’, when the whole marketplace traffic is distributed among products from Korea. It turned out to be the best way to introduce unique country-specific assortment to Joom’s customers and to boost sales dramatically – in general 3-4 times compared to the period before the sale. These promotions not only encourage products to be better explored, but effectively stimulate sales in the long run.

7. Risk-free approach

There is no paid subscription, and you will not have to pay any additional fee to join the platform. You can use Joom risk-free, as the platform gets only 5%~15% (based on category) commission after a product is sold.

8. Payments

Twice a month, Joom pays merchants in USD via Payoneer. What’s more, Joom pays for shipped orders, not delivered ones – that way you get your money on time, regardless of any possible delays.

9. Open registration

To become a seller on Joom, you can easily open account via merchant.joom.com.
The platform has also created a dedicated portal, a sort of help center where sellers can find more details and answers to frequently asked questions, as well as find out about platform rules, features and services.
