Payoneer Forum, Dhaka 2019: Your Playbook for Global Growth

Earlier last month, The Payoneer Forum in Dhaka, Bangladesh brought together outsourcing agencies, small & medium businesses, and online professionals, exploring avenues for growing their business beyond borders. We had representation from key local bodies and associations – namely BASIS, BACCO and e-Cab.

Let’s take a look at some of our event’s highlights…

M Rashidul Hasan, the Managing Director & CEO at Systech Digital Limited, opened the session and spoke about the ‘golden circle’ which consists of answering core questions – why, how and what it takes to create loyal customers. He highlighted that ‘honesty builds trust, trust builds loyalty’. This was followed by Nahid Hassan, Head of Business Development in Bangladesh at Payoneer, who shared the Playbook for Global Growth for the online outsourcing agencies, small & medium businesses and online professionals – a close look at Payoneer’s products and offerings for today’s cross-border businesses.

The first panel discussion of the day included Ms. Farhana Rahman, Senior Vice President at BASIS, Mr. Towhid Hossain, Secretary General at BACCO and Mr. Md Abdul Wahed Tomal, Founder and General Secretary at e-Cab. The discussion was led by Nahid Hasan, as they emphasized the importance of associations for future development of online businesses in Bangladesh.

This insightful dialogue was followed by Kowser Ahmed Nirob, Founder & CEO of CutOutWiz Limited, who shared his best strategy to grow a business with small yet mighty teams. He believes that equipping the right people with the right tools and trainings makes them perform while developing essential skills to succeed as a person, which adds to the overall growth of the business.

Raisul Kabir, Founder & CEO of Brainstation-23, spoke about the art of data analysis for global business growth. He spoke about different types of data analytics and the importance of having data prove a hypothesis, before working on it. He spoke from experience, having set up his own company, and shared how he was driven by data to take it to the top along with other leading brands in the industry.

The event concluded with a panel discussion around the evolution of solo entrepreneurship to a corporation and included Rashad Kabir, Founder & Managing Director at Dream71 Bangladesh Limited and our VIP, Abdullah Jayed who is the Founder & CEO of Jayed Corp. This discussion was moderated by our brand ambassador in Bangladesh, Emrazina Islam who encouraged our panel members share their expertise in building and growing their business – from being the one and only team member to a successful company owner.
