Payoneer Meetup in Sialkot: Receiving International Business Payments Securely and Conveniently
We here in Pakistan kicked off 2020 by hosting an exciting event in Sialkot on how to receive business payments from international clients securely and conveniently.
We had a great turnout with 260+ attendees which included a delightful mix of suppliers & manufacturers of sports, surgical & leather goods, eBay & Amazon sellers, as well as freelance content writers, graphic designers and more.
Mohsin Muzaffer, Payoneer Country Manager Pakistan, led an interactive session highlighting Payoneer as the 360-degree payment solution for companies.
The session included how to:
- Receive payments from international clients and transfer funds in local currency using local bank withdrawals
- Use receiving accounts to accept international payments in multiple currencies from companies & marketplaces
- Manage currencies to transfer funds between Payoneer balances
The audience was encouraged to ask questions, which kept the discussions engaging and informative. Mohsin stated, “Payoneer provides fast, efficient and cost-effective payment withdrawals to freelancers and companies. JazzCash, our partners for simplifying payments for freelancers in Pakistan were also invited to speak at the event. They addressed the audience and answered queries regarding the benefits freelancers can enjoy while withdrawing their funds from their Payoneer account to their JazzCash account.
This meetup was in succession to the events that we organized back in the fall of 2019 which was held in Karachi and Faisalabad. At both events, we received great responses from professionals & small businesses flocking in from various lines of business.
The meetup in Karachi was attended by Payoneer Head of Marketing South Asia, Eileen Borromeo and Customer Success Team Lead, Monique Avila – who were both very much impressed with the fervor of Pakistani online professionals. Eileen said, “Pakistan is an amazing market with huge potential. It is a privilege to be here and meet people whose ambitions mirror the optimism of the rest of the country for growth.”
